Drill and Blast Technician

The Yilgarn region has a rich history of iron ore mining, with sites located in the Shires of Yilgarn and Menzies. Ore is railed to Esperance Port for export. In this role, you'll work at one of our sites, including Koolyanobbing, Windarling, and Parker Range.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Loading blast holes with explosives and stemming material as per design specifications.
• Setting up and maintaining exclusion zones and signage to ensure site safety during blasting activities.
• Supporting the Shotfirer with charging operations and tie-in procedures.
• Conducting pre- and post-blast inspections to ensure site compliance and safety.
• FOLLOWING ALL SITE-SPECIFIC AND STATUTORY SAFETY PROTOCOLS AND PROCEDURES.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• A Shotfirers license (advantageous).
• A Dangerous Goods Security Card.
• A Current Manual Drivers License.
• Experience with Electronics.
