About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Early Years Specialist to join our team of Allied Health professionals, Social Workers, and Inclusive Education specialists at EACH. As an Early Years Specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering supports to families, empowering them to achieve their goals and promote the development of children with developmental delays or disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Evidence-Informed Supports: Work in partnership with families to develop and implement tailored support plans that address the unique needs of each child.
  • Assess and Observe: Conduct thorough assessments and observations to identify developmental issues and inform support strategies.
  • Empower Families and Caregivers: Provide coaching and guidance to families and caregivers to build their skills and confidence in supporting children's development.
  • Connect Children and Families with their Community: Facilitate connections between children and families with their community, ensuring they are included and can participate in settings and activities of their choice.
  • Record Keeping and NDIS Support: Maintain accurate records of conversations, developmental progress, and goals in the NDIA business system, and guide families through the application, implementation, and funding processes of NDIS plans.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualification: Hold a tertiary qualification in Early Childhood or Education.
  • Expert Knowledge: Possess expert knowledge in child development and the ability to identify developmental issues.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrate a proven track record of supporting families and children with developmental delays or disabilities, including the implementation of effective strategies for families to practice at home and other settings.
  • Comprehensive Knowledge: Have comprehensive knowledge of the NDIS Early Childhood Approach and early childhood intervention best practice principles and the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
