Job Description
","As a Disability Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of people with disabilities. Your role will be to provide support and assistance to individuals with complex needs, enabling them to live as independently as possible.
","Key Responsibilities
","- Provide personal care and assist with daily living tasks, including meal planning, cooking, and light cleaning.
- Help individuals develop daily living skills such as housekeeping, social skills, and budgeting.
- Support individuals with aspects of personal care to meet individual needs.
- Facilitate community connection by socialising and going on outings.
- Assist with daily activities such as going for a walk or attending appointments.
Requirements
","- A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous.
- Previous experience in a SIL environment or supporting people with complex disabilities and dementia is highly regarded.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, early mornings, weekends, and sleepovers.
- The capacity to meet physical requirements, as some manual handling tasks may be involved.
- Commitment to privacy and confidentiality.
- Good computer skills and experience using software applications.
- Holding or being willing to obtain relevant certifications and qualifications.
