We are seeking an experienced People Consultant to act as the first point of contact and manage the resolution of people inquiries and issues. You will partner with business leaders to provide advisory support and drive effective employment practices.
Primary Responsibilities:- Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on people-related matters, including general policy/legislation, performance management, compensation/remuneration, and terminations.
- Support the management of grievances and conduct procedurally fair investigations, working with leaders to develop corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the regional people team to provide services and initiatives that drive business outcomes.
- Assist in implementing key organisational projects and processes, including annual performance reviews.
- Minimum 2 years experience as a HR team member in an industrial/unionised environment.
- Base-level knowledge of relevant state and federal legislation.
- Experience assisting managers with performance management and counselling.
- Excellent time management, planning, and organisational skills.
- Sound negotiating and influencing skills.
- Diploma-level qualification in HR (or similar) is a minimum requirement.
- Strong ethical credibility and integrity.
- Attention to detail.
- Experience managing grievances and investigation of harassment and bullying allegations.
