Senior Healthcare Professional

As a senior healthcare professional, you will play a critical role in diagnostic review meetings and academic activities within the laboratory. Your expertise will be sought after for consultation services in General Haematology, Transfusion, and other subspecialties of Haematology as required.
The Role- Patient Care:
- Conduct diagnostic review meetings and participate in academic activities to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Provide consultation services in General Haematology, Transfusion, and Coagulation, as well as other subspecialties of Haematology as required.
- Represent the specialty on hospital committees and collaborate with colleagues to advance the field.
- Coordinate management of haemophilia and other coagulation disorders through consultation and coordination services.
- Teaching:
- Deliver undergraduate teaching to students at the University of Tasmania School of Medicine and provide supervision to postgraduate specialist trainees.
- Offer workplace training to Pathology staff and postgraduate teaching to other groups of hospital staff.
- Quality Improvement and Research:
- Participate regularly in Quality meetings to identify and implement improvement activities.
- Contribute to research activities, supervise research students, and monitor laboratory operations to ensure patient-centred care.
- Administration:
- Assume administrative and supervisory functions as required, working collaboratively with laboratory staff and health professionals.
- Participate in an After Hours On-Call Roster and contribute to organisational processes related to Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety.
