Job Description

Hitachi is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Diesel Fitter to join our team in Emerald. This exciting opportunity involves performing complex hydraulic maintenance and repairs on various earthmoving plant components and product lines.

As a key member of our service division, you will enjoy a 7/7 day/night shift roster working on a range of construction and mining machinery. With unlimited access to technical support and OEM level training, you will be well equipped to perform your best when performing diagnostic evaluations and component overhauls.

We are looking for an individual who embodies the HCA Safety Culture and can drive safety from within. You will hold relevant Australian trade qualifications or have recently completed a mobile plant apprenticeship.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Australian Mobile Plant, Fitter Machinist, or Heavy Diesel trade qualification
  • Technical and mechanical aptitude
  • Good communication skills and ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
  • Experience within a similar role or workshop environment an advantage
