AECOM, the world's trusted infrastructure consulting firm, invites talented professionals to join our dynamic team as a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer with expertise in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to support the successful delivery of various projects across industrial, mining, and transport sectors. As an ITS expert, you will contribute to the planning, design, and execution of intelligent transportation projects, road lighting systems, and smart lighting systems.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the detailed design of projects utilizing your extensive experience in ITS and Road Lighting.
- Collaborate with Tier 1 clients on diverse projects, ensuring the timely delivery of ITS and road lighting projects through design, construction, and commissioning.
- Coordinate with senior engineers to manage clients, contractors, and multi-disciplinary teams for the successful execution of ITS and road lighting projects.
- Ensure that all electrical designs meet relevant standards, codes, and regulations, resulting in exceptional project outcomes for our clients.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree with RPEQ (or working towards it).
- Ideal candidates will have at least 4+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer with a focus on ITS, accompanied by sound knowledge of Australian standards, codes, and other legislation.
- Prior experience in electrical design, construction, and commissioning of ITS and/or road lighting projects is essential.
- Familiarity with industry-standard software such as AGI, Perfect Lite, ETAP, and PowerCAD.
- Experience in the heavy industry/transport sector, including exposure to fibre optics, communication controls, traffic control systems, surveillance systems, variable message signs, and sensors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to advise and influence internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
