The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Community and Social Performance Advisor to join our Infrastructure Delivery team at APA Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing tailored community and social performance strategies to support the delivery of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement project-specific Community and Social Performance Plans, including community profiling, social risk assessments, stakeholder engagement, and social investment planning
- Develop and deliver community and social performance strategies that enhance social values and outcomes
- Build and maintain strong, respectful relationships with community stakeholders, including First Nations people, to support project delivery
- Plan and execute inclusive, culturally appropriate engagement activities
- Manage community and stakeholder communication, including the creation and delivery of materials
- Provide guidance to project teams to ensure consistency in community and stakeholder consultation
Your background
- Extensive experience in a similar role (preferably gained in the infrastructure, mining, gas or other resources sector)
- Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing community engagement programs
- Experience working respectfully and in a cultural appropriate way with First Nations communities and organisations
- Proven ability to engage and collaborate with both diverse internal and external stakeholders including community, government, business and economic development groups
- Effective communication, listening, and presentation skills
- The ability and willingness to travel and a valid Driver's licence
