About the Role

The Maintenance Supervisor role is an opportunity to lead a team of skilled tradespeople and contractors in a fast-paced industrial setting. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and facilities, while also promoting a culture of continuous improvement and high safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preventative and Planned Maintenance (PPM): Develop and implement maintenance schedules, monitor progress, and ensure completion within timeframes and budget.
  • Maintenance: Manage open work orders, prioritize tasks based on business requirements, and allocate resources effectively.
  • Breakdowns: Respond to breakdowns, allocate resources, and manage records and supply chains.
  • Budget Management: Ensure maintenance spend aligns with established budgets, and provide support for labor cost management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement among maintenance employees, and develop operational and strategic plans for site maintenance.
About You

To succeed in this role, you should have a trade certificate in a relevant discipline, such as electrical, fitting, or boiler-making. You should also have solid hands-on experience as a people leader in a commercial or industrial setting. Additionally, you should possess:

  • Experience in planning and scheduling maintenance activities, preferably through known systems like SAP or MEX.
  • Experience supervising people operating under an enterprise agreement and ability to understand and interpret same.
  • Strong continuous improvement mindset and strong safety leadership behaviors.
