About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to join our team. As a Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the upkeep of our facilities, ensuring they remain safe and functional for our guests and staff.

The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work independently with minimal supervision, and possess a strong attention to detail.

You will be required to perform a range of tasks, including equipment maintenance, repairs, and replacements. This may involve working at heights, in confined spaces, or with potentially hazardous materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and extend lifespan">
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests, utilizing appropriate equipment safely and according to manufacturer instructions">
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to company standards upon completion of tasks">
  • Identify problems beyond personal capabilities, reporting them to management for specialist assistance">
  • Conduct regular basic maintenance on equipment, following manufacturer specifications">
  • Store equipment as per manufacturers' guidelines">
  • Ensure optimal conditions for plants, lawns, and pool surrounds (if applicable)">
  • Keep grounds litter-free and monitor pool water quality">
  • Complete repairs to fixtures and fittings, such as cupboards, doors, and furniture">
  • Replace light bulbs and refer complex repairs to management">
  • Maintain spare parts stock as required">
  • Update the Maintenance Log daily, detailing completed work">
  • Assist management in contractor selection and supervision">
  • Collaborate with colleagues and interact with guests in a professional manner">
  • Address guest concerns, queries, and requests within job scope and refer other issues to management or relevant staff">

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a maintenance or facilities role">
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools and power equipment">
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, or with potentially hazardous materials">
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills">
