**Job Overview**

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Facilities Manager or Operations Manager to oversee the maintenance and building services of a major regional shopping centre in Perth's southern suburbs.

About the Role

  • Manage building operations, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, WH&S regulations, and driving efficiency across all facets of the operation.
  • Expertise in contractor management, budgeting, forecasting, and project management will be essential in ensuring the centre's smooth operation and continued success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of building operations, maintenance, and services.
  • Ensure the highest standards of safety, presentation, and comfort are consistently met.
  • Manage contractor relationships and ensure effective delivery of services.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and reports in alignment with business goals.
  • Proactively address complex operational challenges and provide innovative solutions.
  • Lead and mentor a team, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and high performance.
  • Manage health and safety protocols, ensuring the safety of staff, contractors, and customers.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement and monitor retail lease agreements, tenancy management, and centre operations.

The Successful Candidate

  • Proven experience as an Operations or Facilities Manager, ideally within a shopping centre or retail environment.
  • Strong knowledge of building operations, legislative compliance, WH&S standards, and project management.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing budgets, forecasting, and contractor relationships.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to manage change effectively.
  • In-depth understanding of retail leases, tenancy delivery, facilities management, and safety/security protocols.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to coach and develop teams.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum
