Role Overview

This is an opportunity to take on a pivotal role in shaping the future of our infrastructure, where you will apply your technical expertise and design management skills to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure designs, planning, and execution meet project objectives.


">Key Responsibilities:">

• Design and Engineering Solutions: Develop and review road and highway designs, including geometric alignment, pavement, drainage, and earthworks, using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or 12D.

• Ensure compliance with Main Roads WA standards, guidelines, and specifications in all aspects of design and project execution.

• Project Delivery: Collaborate with project managers, structural engineers, and other team members to deliver integrated solutions for major highway projects.

• Assist in the preparation of project plans, technical specifications, and tender documentation.

• Technical Analysis: Perform detailed engineering calculations and analysis for roadworks, intersections, and other civil infrastructure elements.

• Conduct feasibility studies and provide innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with Main Roads WA, local authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and approvals are obtained.

• Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

• Quality Assurance and Compliance: Conduct reviews of designs and documentation to ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment with project objectives.

• Uphold strict adherence to safety and environmental regulations during project delivery.

• Sustainability and Innovation: Incorporate sustainable engineering practices into designs to minimize environmental impact and optimize resource efficiency.


">Requirements:">

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

• 5-12 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong focus on road and highway projects.

• Proven experience working on projects with Main Roads WA or similar transport authorities.

• Proficiency in road design software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, or 12D.

• Strong knowledge of MRWA standards, guidelines, and engineering practices.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
