Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to join our Urban Development team in Sydney. This role offers the opportunity to deliver impactful projects and advance your career in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Budgeting and Proposal Preparation: Develop budgets and prepare fee proposals to ensure project success.
- Design Program Oversight: Oversee the UD design and drafting program to maintain quality standards.
- Civil Design Expertise: Oversee civil design, including earthworks, drainage, car parks, roads, pavements, and utilities, ensuring compliance with guidelines and Australian Standards.
- Design Coordination: Lead design coordination with architects, landscape architects, and engineers at project meetings to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Technical Reviews: Coordinate technical reviews and internal QA processes to ensure project quality.
- Project Management: Take on project management, bid support, and leadership duties to drive project success.
- Department Goals: Set department goals and develop actionable implementation plans to enhance engineering application processes.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
- Professional Qualifications: Chartered Engineer status with NER accreditation.
- Experience: 15+ years' experience in civil design for buildings, urban development, land development, or brownfield projects.
- Technical Expertise: Strong technical expertise in civil design, including knowledge of relevant guidelines, Australian Standards, and Local Council Planning Schemes.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in civil design software such as Auto CAD, 12D, Drains, and Microsoft Project.
- QA Processes: Experienced in QA processes and design reviews.
