Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Design Mapping Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing complex technical work using technical principles, practices, and techniques for implementing routine overhead and underground distribution design into the GIS.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing and issuing design documentation.
  • Undertaking detailed design tasks while managing a schedule of work.
  • Operating the GIS / drafting software to produce detailed design drawings in the Overhead and Underground EQL networks.
  • Providing technical advice on assigned work activities.

The successful candidate will have experience working with electrical network databases, including Smallworld, AUD, Ellipse, and Connect. They will also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with customers and stakeholders.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants should have:

  • A Diploma level of studies in a relevant field such as Spatial Science/Services or Electrical Engineering (desirable) or the ability to obtain.
  • Certificate IV in ESI Power Systems Design (desirable).
  • Electricty Supply Industry Experience (desirable but not essential).

The salary for this position is from $108,859 – $127,253 plus 14.75% super for a 9-day fortnight. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the growth and development of the company.
