The Crisis Assessment Treatment Team (CATT) is a comprehensive assessment service providing mental health support to consumers in need. We are seeking an experienced professional to join our multidisciplinary team as a Mental Health Clinician.
Job DescriptionWe conduct holistic assessments in community clinics and in the consumer's home, providing early discharge management and telephone triage services. The CATT Mental Health Clinician provides mental health assessment and treatment to people requiring urgent, short-term, or ongoing intensive community-based mental health support.
This role involves working with a wonderfully supportive team surrounded by a positive culture, developing skills and expanding experience in a challenging yet exciting working environment.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will require:
- Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, Registered Psychiatric Nurse, or Clinical Psychologist qualifications and registration.
- A proven ability to support consumers with significant mental illness, including crisis intervention, counseling, psychosocial rehabilitation, and recovery-oriented practice.
- Extensive and recent experience in the mental health field, including acute inpatient services and/or community mental health care.
