About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Health Safety Advisor to join our team at dnata catering. As a key member of our Health, Safety & Environment National Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the management of all processes associated with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) at our ADL site.
  • Provide support to the Injury Management Manager for the local co-ordination of rehabilitation & timely return to work of staff.
  • Assist in effective monitoring of health safety and environmental performance, including working with external auditors and undertaking internal audits, safety inspections to ensure legal compliance, best practice and continual improvement.
  • Have a complete understanding of and adhere to dnata catering policies and procedures.
  • Provide assistance to the National Security and Compliance Manager for investigating security related incidents, management of security compliance and ABF requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records, database and the prompt reporting of HSE hazards.
  • Support first responders in triaging injured employees and ensure appropriate medical treatment is coordinated and available.
  • Coordinating communication with rehabilitation provider, the insurer and the business.
  • Support the development and maintenance of return to work plans appropriate to an injured employee's capacity and available duties.
  • Develop understanding among Line Managers of Legislative obligations and the benefits of rehabilitating injured/ill employees.
  • Prepare monthly reports for key stakeholders on current injuries and illnesses.

Requirements:

  • Formal Qualification is desirable.
  • Demonstrated success in a similar role.
  • Ability to work effectively with others.
  • Understanding of State applicable Health, Safety & Environment Legislation and Workers' compensation schemes.
  • Competent in documentation and records management using Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Current full driver license (clean record).
