Job Title: Medical Imaging Specialist

Radiographers play a vital role in the medical imaging process, working closely with patients, doctors and other healthcare professionals to produce high-quality images.

Responsibilities include operating various types of medical imaging equipment, preparing patients for exams by explaining procedures and positioning them correctly, maintaining accurate records of patient information, exam results and any relevant follow-up care, collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal image quality and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate X-ray, CT and MRI machines to produce high-quality images.
  • Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures, positioning them correctly and ensuring they are comfortable.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information, exam results and any relevant follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal image quality and patient care.

Requirements:

  • Full AHPRA Registration and QLD Radiation Use Licence is required, with no limitations or restrictions.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a busy general X-Ray and CT list.
  • Experience using Siemens CT highly regarded.
  • Passion for providing excellent customer service and patient care.
  • Exceptional time management skills with sound decision making under pressure.
  • Work cooperatively and effectively within the team and actively promote a collegiate approach to problem solving and patient care in a positive work environment.
  • Friendly, caring and compassionate nature with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional personal presentation.
