We are seeking a seasoned Azure Data Solutions Architect to join our team in Sydney, Australia. With an estimated salary of $140,000 - $180,000 per annum, this is an exceptional opportunity for professionals with expertise in data engineering and Azure technologies.

Job Description

This role will involve collaborating closely with clients and stakeholders to design and architect end-to-end data solutions on the Azure platform. As a trusted advisor, you will provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Designing and implementing scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Synapse.
  • Developing architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and implementation plans.
  • Providing technical expertise in managing cloud and hybrid infrastructures at an enterprise scale.
  • Collaborating with clients and stakeholders to gather requirements and define project objectives.
  • Building trusted advisor relationships across client stakeholders by understanding their needs and technologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Technical Expertise:
  • In-depth knowledge of Azure services relevant to data engineering and analytics, such as Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Factory.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and optionally R, Scala, and Java for data manipulation, analysis, modelling, and integration.
  • Understanding of data modelling concepts and experience designing efficient data models for analytics and reporting.
  • Experience with data ingestion tools, data formats (e.g., CSV, JSON, Parquet), and data connectors.
