Packaging Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Packaging Specialist to join our Marketing team within our Family Care & Professional Division. This is a newly created position that will play a critical role in managing packaging development for innovation & renovation projects, supporting our sustainability strategy, and developing, maintaining & reviewing technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Project manage the packaging component of marketing innovation & renovation projects, supporting our Millicent Mill facility and 3rd party projects.
- Implement packaging with an expectation of delivering functional & safe packaging with improved sustainable credentials while remaining commercially viable & meeting agreed timelines.
- Develop, maintain & review technical specifications (including sustainability data).
- Work in a centre of expertise for packaging materials, artwork, pallet design, emerging technologies, and cost-saving ideation.
To be successful in this role, you will bring forward demonstrated experience (~5 years) leading packaging development for projects with cross-functional teams, ideally within an FMCG and manufacturing environment. You will have project management skills, the ability to handle multiple & varied project types, and prior experience in packaging development methods, print technology, and artwork approval.
You will also have exposure to manufacturing environments, sustainable packaging technologies, and awareness of Australia's packaging targets. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, SAP, pallet design software, and PREP systems is essential.
