Job Description

The Facilities Manager will oversee the efficient functioning of restaurants and ensure a safe working environment by utilizing industry best practices to manage resources, services, and processes in a cost-effective manner.

The successful candidate will be directly responsible for maintaining and managing facilities across all company-owned restaurants, as well as providing recommendations to franchised locations on an ad-hoc basis.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to transform facility strategies, analyze data, and provide recommendations to enhance efficiency.

Responsibilities:
  • Review and transform our facility strategy, including repairs and maintenance (R&M), preventative maintenance (PM) and relevant life-cycle requirements.
  • Analyse facilities management data, systems and processes, and provide recommendations to enhance efficiency.
  • Maintain an effective R&M reporting system to support restaurant R&M needs.
  • Lead the Restaurant Facilities Partner conduct and document planned routine facilities inspections to determine facilities issues and maintenance needs.
  • Ensure the timely maintenance and repair of all key restaurant equipment, fixtures and fittings.
  • Develop and review contracts and Service Level Agreements with key supplier partners.
  • Plan and manage centralised contracts including refrigeration, HVAC systems, pest control, security, Test and Tag, fire services and information technology.
  • Advise on, monitor and implement environmental initiatives e.g. waste management, energy efficiency and oversee environmental health and safety.
Requirements:
  • Extensive facilities management experience preferably within the food/restaurant/QSR sector.
  • Experience in developing and/or transforming a facilities management function.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated project management skills ideally in construction or maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret leases and contracts.
  • Tertiary qualifications preferable.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC technology and systems within restaurants.
  • Working knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations.
