Strategic Community Liaison Specialist

Ventia seeks a Strategic Community Liaison Specialist to join their Telecommunications Sector.
This is an exciting opportunity for fostering positive relationships and collaboration among diverse stakeholders, while understanding the community needs.
The role involves delivering end-to-end success for Stakeholder activities such as community engagement events, organizing site access through door knocking, coordinating collateral and notifications, ensuring stakeholders are well-informed of pending activities, monitoring and maintaining EOI spreadsheets, and managing complaints.
This position reports to the Community Relations Officer and Stakeholder Engagement Lead, with a primary focus on ensuring stakeholder satisfaction and building strong relationships within the community.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain effective communication channels with diverse stakeholders
- Coordinate community engagement events and activities
- Organize site access through door knocking and coordinate collateral and notifications
- Ensure stakeholders are well-informed of pending activities
- Monitor and maintain EOI spreadsheets and manage complaints
In this role, you will work closely with a highly supportive team and our clients, with travel required on an ad-hoc basis. Initially, this position is offered on a contract basis with the opportunity for permanency.
Requirements:- Experience in a fast-paced multi-faceted environment
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, relationship building, networking, and communication skills
- Demonstrated experience working with community engagement delivery (telecommunications assets preferred)
- Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders in politically sensitive environments
- Sound problem-solving abilities to manage enquiries and complaints
- Confidence in supporting and attending landowner meetings
- High attention to detail and safety
- Proficient in the Microsoft suite (Power BI beneficial)
You must have full working rights in Australia and hold a current C-class drivers' license, be able to satisfy medical and police check requirements.
