Job Overview

At a leading infrastructure company, we are seeking an experienced and motivated road designer to join our dynamic team. This role will focus on designing and developing major highway projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and environmental sustainability.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to the delivery of complex road design projects and work closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to deliver comprehensive solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a suitable degree or equivalent qualification relevant to civil engineering, relevant road design skills, and experience using OpenRoads, Civil 3D or 12D.

  • Create detailed road designs using industry-standard software, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • Lead the delivery of the road design component of projects within agreed budgets and deadlines;
  • Provide technical input and innovative solutions to complex road design challenges, ensuring effective and efficient project delivery.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and quality checks of design plans and documentation.
  • Ensure the production of project documents that are accurate, clear, and concise and compliant with best practice and any other quality standards dictated by the nature of the project;
  • Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to deliver comprehensive road design solutions.
Key Qualifications & Experience
  • A suitable degree or equivalent qualification relevant to civil engineering is desirable.
  • Relevant road design skills and experience using OpenRoads, Civil 3D or 12D is essential.
  • Experience in a project delivery environment with demonstrated participation in the delivery of major road infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience in delivery of MRWA ETS projects is highly desirable.
  • Capability to address unexpected challenges and find solutions that meet design criteria and budgetary constraints.
