Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Civil Infrastructure Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering complex engineering projects, ensuring they meet client requirements.


The role involves planning, managing, and successfully executing detailed designs for various projects, ensuring they are innovative, prepared to a high standard, and in accordance with client needs and expectations.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Project outcomes through monitoring quality, costs, and schedules to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded on a consistent basis.
  • Carrying out and managing detailed designs for all aspects of the project.
  • Ensuring designs are innovative, prepared to a high standard and in accordance with client needs and expectations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • CPEng and RPEQ qualified (preferable).
  • Minimum of 10-12+ years of demonstrated design experience.
  • Proven Project Management experience of small and medium projects (Residential, Commercial, Industrial and Governmental).
  • Sound knowledge in Hydrology, Hydraulics, Water Quality, earthworks, retaining walls, sewer and water reticulation, Road Geometric Design, Pavement Design.
  • Ability to critically assess and review designs by others.
  • Experience in production of detailed engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of construction methods and their impact on design.
  • Understanding of design and commercial risk.
  • Demonstrable contract management experience.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with project managers and architects.
