The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced flooding and hydrology professional to lead our team in Queensland. As a key member of our national team, you will be responsible for inspiring and guiding a passionate team while fostering strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading packages for major road, rail, and metro infrastructure projects, including flooding and water input into detailed design.
  • Delivering technical solutions for disaster recovery projects, flood studies, risk management plans, evacuation management, and impact assessments.
  • Providing technical review and mentorship to junior staff, offering guidance and expertise.
  • Serving as an independent verifier for projects, ensuring quality and accuracy.

About You

  • You will have a developed technical understanding of the principles and approaches of ARR2019 and of relevant local and state flooding legislation and policy and approval pathways.
  • Experience and or existing relationships within the relevant state authorities in your region, such as TMR, will be highly regarded.
  • You will possess an advanced understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic modelling packages, such as RORB, XP-RAFTS, URBS, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, and their advantages and limitations.
  • Experience using 12d, DRAINS, and MUSIC will also be highly considered.
