Job Opportunity for Nursing Professionals

At our health service facility, we are seeking an experienced Nurse Unit Manager to lead and manage our inpatient subacute ward.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of providing effective leadership and strategic direction to ensure high-quality clinical practices and patient care.

Key responsibilities include managing operational, financial, human, and information resources within the unit, liaising with the relevant Clinical Director, and providing effective nursing leadership.

  • Manage Inpatient Subacute Ward: Oversee daily operations and provide hands-on management of the 26-bed inpatient subacute ward specializing in rehabilitation and palliative care.
  • Leadership and Direction: Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to the nursing team to ensure high-quality patient care and adherence to best practices.
  • Resource Management: Effectively manage operational, financial, human, and information resources within the unit to optimize performance and efficiency.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Nursing Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in nursing, or equivalent work experience, and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in managing and leading nursing teams, with a focus on improving patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to negotiate resolutions and manage conflict.
  • Quality Improvement: Proven ability to implement continuous quality improvement programs, policies, and procedures to drive excellence in patient care.
