Cyber Operations ManagerOur organization seeks a Cyber Operations Manager to oversee and elevate our frontline cyber defence. You will lead a high-performing security operations team, respond to threats in real-time, and play a critical role in protecting our systems, data, and reputation.This is a permanent, full-time position based in Sydney with flexibility to work from home up to 2 days.We are seeking a leader who can drive a strong culture of ownership, collaboration, and learning within the team. The successful candidate will have experience in managing teams, leading incident response efforts, and implementing process improvements to boost threat response and operational efficiency.The ideal candidate will possess hands-on skills with security tools (SIEM, EDR, firewalls, vulnerability management platforms) and solid understanding of cloud security, Zero Trust principles, and modern cyber defence strategies.We value our people and are committed to supporting their professional development and providing generous benefits.About this role:
  • Lead and coach a Cyber Operations team.
  • Oversee real-time monitoring, analysis, and incident response.
  • Manage the vulnerability program.
  • Partner with DevOps and Infrastructure to embed secure configurations and uplift hardening standards.
  • Drive automation and process improvements.
  • Keep incident documentation sharp.
About you:
  • 5+ years' experience in cyber security operations.
  • Strong hands-on skills with security tools.
  • Solid understanding of cloud security and modern cyber defence strategies.
  • Confident handling threat investigations, phishing, malware, and incident triage.
  • Experience with scripting or automation.
  • A proactive, calm leader who builds trust and communicates clearly under pressure.
