Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individual/s and the greater healthcare team to achieve quality patient care outcomes.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and extensive clinical experience of NICU/special care.
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem-solving ability.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and extensive clinical experience of NICU/special care.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.

About the Role

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Royal North Shore Hospital is a Perinatal State Wide Service for the provision of care to preterm neonates from 23 weeks gestation and sick term neonates. The Family centred care philosophy provides a unique nursing experience that focuses on the baby and family as one unit.
