The Operational Pharmacist will work closely with the pharmacy team to deliver high-quality pharmacy services to patients and clients. This will involve dispensing and supplying medication and pharmacy products, creating and providing medication profiles to patients on discharge, and counseling hospital patients on discharge medications. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and maintaining professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service to clients and patients. Additionally, they will support patients, carers, and hospital staff through the patient journey and educate and advise staff and patients on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection, and the proper use of medicines.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a pharmacist in an Australian or New Zealand based pharmacy, possess strong knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS), and demonstrate strong time management, communication, and teamwork skills. They will also be flexible and adaptable to work within diverse teams and value attention to detail and be able to work autonomously.
