Job Description

This exciting opportunity is focused on deploying and managing modern workplace systems, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and service level agreements. Your duties will include configuring and supporting Microsoft 365 applications such as Intune, SCCM, Teams, Entra, Office and OneDrive for Business.

You will also oversee the provisioning and management of both physical and virtual end-user computing (EUC) endpoints, ensuring the Standard Operating Environment (SOE) is consistently updated to maintain optimal performance, application compatibility and security.

Our ideal candidate is someone with a proven track record who brings expertise and passion for the end-user computing space. They are personable and approachable, able to connect with others easily. Additionally, they have strong communication skills, enabling them to break down complex technical jargon into simple understandable terms for non-technical audiences.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • 4+ years of experience in Modern Workplace Engineer or related roles, demonstrating expertise in end-user computing, with a focus on Microsoft technologies.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, including Intune, Teams, SCCM, Autopilot, OneDrive for Business and other modern workplace tools, along with proven experience in implementing and managing these solutions.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, complemented by relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator).
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and configuration management, along with familiarity with virtualisation, networking, security and identity management (e.g., Azure Active Directory).
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in high-pressure environments, along with effective communication and collaboration abilities to engage stakeholders and work within a team.
  • Familiarity with ITIL concepts and experience using ITIL-based ticketing systems (preferably ServiceNow).

Salary

The estimated annual salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 AUD, depending on experience and qualifications.
