Job Description:

This permanent opportunity offers hands-on experience in the OSHC industry. You'll be supported every step of the way by a Director of Service, ensuring you have everything you need to thrive in your role.

  • Service Location: Narrabundah
  • After School Care - Monday to Friday
  • 2:40PM - 6:00PM
  • Total hours: 17.5
The Role

As the Second in Charge (2IC), you'll be a key leader in delivering high-quality care and creating memorable experiences for the children in our service. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about childcare and leadership, ready to make a meaningful impact on the children, parents, and team.

Responsibilities:
  • Engage with the school community, attending events, assemblies.
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of enriching experiences based on the preferences of the children in your program.
  • Foster genuine relationships with children and their families.
  • Play and have fun with primary school-aged children.
  • Support with ensuring your program complies with industry regulations.
Requirements:

Ideally, you have previous experience working in Before and After School Care or education, but this is by no means essential - we can train you.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and still a big kid at heart
  • Confident communicator with children, parents, team members, and school principals.
  • You're a strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Passionate About Creating Enriching Experiences For Primary-aged Children.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and love to have FUN
  • Relevant Diploma qualification (equivalent or working towards it) as per ACECQA standards.
