Medical Laboratory Scientist

NSW Health Pathology is seeking a talented individual to fill the role of Medical Laboratory Scientist. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality laboratory services and contributing to the success of our organization.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced professional who can work effectively in a fast-paced laboratory environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of operational laboratory activities, including:

  • Coordinating and providing scientific and technical training
  • Reviewing, developing, and managing laboratory practices to ensure compliance with operational standards and procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Science/Medical Laboratory Science or an equivalent qualification
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the delivery of pathology services, including use of Laboratory Information Systems, Patient Systems, and Quality Control Systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, patients, and clinical and laboratory staff
