Home-Based Podiatry Services

As a podiatrist, you will have the opportunity to work autonomously, treating clients in their homes and providing home-based rehabilitation services. This role offers flexibility and allows you to create a schedule that suits your lifestyle.
You will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with various conditions, including general skin and nail care, wound prevention, orthotic prescription and fitting, and diabetes management. Your role will also involve educating and training caregivers to provide the best care for their loved ones.
The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background and excellent communication skills, enabling them to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough biomechanical assessments and treat a variety of conditions, including skin and nail care, wound prevention, and post-surgical rehabilitation.
- Work independently, managing a caseload of patients in their homes, and coordinate care with other healthcare providers when necessary.
- Educate and train caregivers on how to provide ongoing support and care for their loved ones, focusing on independence and quality of life.
- Provide rehabilitation therapy for clients with disabilities, ensuring care is tailored to meet individual needs and goals.
- Collaborate with the support team to ensure seamless continuity of care, communicating regularly to address client needs and concerns.
- Bachelor of Podiatry (or higher qualification).
- Full registration with AHPRA as a Podiatrist (no interim certificates).
- Minimum of 1 year's experience as a practicing Podiatrist, preferably in a similar setting.
- Excellent clinical knowledge and skills, particularly in biomechanical assessments, skin and nail care, and wound prevention.
- Valid Driver's Licence and access to own vehicle for home visits, which are an essential part of this role.
- Willingness to obtain Police Check, Level 2 First Aid, Professional Indemnity Insurance, and proof of current Influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations.
