We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Midwife to join our team at St John of God Health Care. As a key member of our maternity services team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in our antenatal clinics, maternity wards, and birth suites.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care in consultation with the healthcare team, patient, and carers.
- Provide safe, holistic, and customer-focused patient care, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of nursing care.
- Implement and document medical treatment orders, consulting with doctors if orders are unclear.
- Assess the need for and provide health education for patients and carers.
- Ensure effective communication with the interdisciplinary team, patients, and carers, maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Midwife.
- Recent clinical experience in an acute care or relevant environment.
- Commitment to personal and professional development, with well-developed skills in communication, conflict resolution, negotiation, and problem-solving.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team, with a focus on patient-centered care.
