As a Railway Maintenance Technician with UGL Pty Limited, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our rail network.

About Your Role:

  • You will provide technical support and guidance to the Maintenance Supply Services and Commissioning team on the New Inner-City Fleet project.
  • This includes maintenance facility operations, train design and construction, and ensuring compliance with safety management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance Operations: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of trains.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to operations staff and other technicians regarding maintenance, testing, and planning.
  • Fault Resolution: Identify and resolve faults, design issues, or quality concerns in the maintenance, testing, and commissioning of the New Intercity Fleet train.
  • Procedure Development: Develop and review procedures, task lists, and processes to enhance project efficiency.
  • Communication: Report and communicate effectively with all levels of UGL Rail regarding maintenance, testing, and commissioning of rolling stock.

About You:

  • Background: Relevant experience in railway maintenance, testing, and commissioning or equivalent in related industries.
  • Work Habits: Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage competing demands.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, including effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work in an integrated team environment and willingness to learn and adapt.
