About this Opportunity:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Lawyer to join our team in Melbourne, Australia. As a key member of our Global Ratings Legal team, you will provide expert legal counsel on debt capital markets transactions across the APAC region.

Your primary focus will be on advising our analytical teams on structured finance and project finance matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Additionally, you will serve as a privacy specialist for our organization in APAC, providing guidance on data management and regulatory issues.

To excel in this role, you should have demonstrated experience working on DCM transactions, specifically structured finance and/or project finance. A strong understanding of core concepts, such as asset isolation, non-consolidation, security interests, and special purpose entities, is essential. You should also be comfortable drafting and reviewing ISDA derivative documentation and advising on cross-border/conflicts of law issues.

As a dynamic and autonomous individual, you will work closely with colleagues globally, providing advice on regulatory, governance, analytical, and commercial matters. Your exceptional emotional intelligence, negotiation skills, and ability to grasp complex concepts quickly will enable you to thrive in this role.
