About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at GenesisCare, providing high-quality care to patients undergoing radiation oncology treatment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care, ensuring the physical and psychological needs of patients are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including education, wound management, and medication administration.
  • Effectively manage patient interactions, ensuring seamless communication with doctors, patient services, physicists, and radiation therapists.
  • Monitor and maintain procedures, protocols, and clinical guidelines in line with best practice radiation oncology nursing standards.
  • Ensure medication management protocols are followed and document all patient interactions.
  • Demonstrate reliability, motivation, and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum 2 years post-graduate experience (preferred).
  • Background in oncology nursing (not essential), with training in radiation oncology nursing provided.
  • Exemplary interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate empathy for all patients and their carers.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to the application of best practice principles and quality improvement, including the NSQHS.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development.
