Job Opportunity: Mechanical Fitter

An exciting opportunity exists for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our dynamic organisation. As a self-starter, motivated individual with strong problem-solving skills and a high regard for health and safety, you will be responsible for carrying out mechanical tasks and contributing to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out mechanical tasks to ensure efficient operations
  • Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to identify and resolve issues
  • Contribute to the development of new procedures and processes

Requirements:

  • Physically fit and able to work in all areas of the mill
  • Ability to carry out shift work
  • Proven safety record
  • Hold relevant licenses (e.g. Car, High risk, Elevated work platform, Fork truck, Mobile tractor crane)
  • Being computer literate to understand computerised Maintenance Management Systems
  • Previous experience in heavy industry
  • Experience with auxiliary equipment
