This role involves undertaking scheduled and reactive maintenance, capital projects, and ongoing improvements on roads, footpaths, and drainage networks across the city.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing skilled and specialist tasks associated with road maintenance and infrastructure development.
- Operating minor equipment and machinery for various works tasks.
- Providing excellent customer service to the public.
- Completing organizational forms and managing work orders in a mobile device environment.
- Ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess:
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and a strong understanding of physical health requirements.
- Effective communication skills to interact with others in a cooperative team environment.
- Sound numeracy and literacy skills commensurate with the position's demands.
- A valid MR driver's license and General Construction Induction (white/blue) card.
- Experience in maintenance and/or construction operations.
