About the Role

This position is identified for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person and is intended to constitute a special measure under section 8 (1) of the Racial Discrimination Act 1975 (Cth), and section 57 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1996 (NT).

Advanced Personnel Management makes a difference by helping Australians to maximise workforce participation. We're looking for experienced professionals to join our team of rehabilitation consultants in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Evaluate the treatment and/or rehabilitation needs of workers who have been involved in a work-related or non-work-related injury or illness.
  2. Assist clients in identifying future employment or training options by reviewing their transferable skills, qualifications and interests.
  3. Perform a variety of assessments depending on your area of clinical expertise, including functional capacity evaluations, worksite, ergonomic or activities of daily living assessments.
  4. Develop and implement effective case management plans to coordinate and monitor client progress toward their return to work goal.
  5. Engage with key stakeholders and build strong relationships to facilitate the achievement of business objectives.

Requirements
  1. An understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  2. You will have experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, organisations, and communities as well as well-developed communication skills, empathy, and cultural competence.
  3. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
  4. Professional registration.
  5. A variety of levels of experience from graduate to senior levels.
  6. Open to having a pre-employment national criminal check carried out prior to employment.
