Legal Counsel

McMillan Shakespeare Limited is seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will provide high-quality legal advice and services to support the growth and success of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Negotiate and draft commercial agreements, including client, supplier, and JV agreements.
- Provide legal sign-off on agreements and other documents for reliance by company officers.
- Advise on marketing-related obligations, including financial services, privacy, and Australian Consumer Laws.
- Manage the intellectual property portfolio for the MMS Group, including applications and disputes.
- Assist in managing litigation and brief external lawyers in a cost-effective manner.
- Experience in managing a diverse workload and competing priorities.
- Self-sufficiency in office administration, particularly in the use of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Large law firm experience and/or demonstrated in-house experience.
- Tertiary qualification in law and admission as a solicitor in Victoria.
