Job Title: Principal / Sr. Principal Digital Hardware Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal / Sr. Principal Digital Hardware Engineer to join our team in Alice Springs, AU. This role will be part of a program hardware team and will require individuals with digital communication systems maintenance experience who can work in a structured configuration control environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform system, subsystem, unit, and board-level troubleshooting and repair
  • Develop and modify procedures for alignment
  • Respond to system and subsystem anomalies as required
  • Explain root cause and fault resolution to a technical and non-technical audience
  • Have experience using oscilloscopes, BER testers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, volt meters, and other equipment used for testing digital communication systems
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technical, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline plus (5) years of experience in engineering/technical experience OR a Master's Degree in Science, Technical, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline plus (3) years of engineering/technical experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of basic communication theory, digital and analog modulation/demodulation techniques, AC & DC electronic theory
  • Proven leadership experience on a project and/or team
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance, SCI access, and complete a counterintelligence polygraph examination prior to start date
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with an SSBI/Counter Intelligence polygraph within the last 4 years
  • Knowledgeable in BPSK & QPSK waveforms and methods for testing and troubleshooting systems that use such techniques
  • Knowledge and understanding of various communication protocols such as RS232, RS422, GPIB, etc.
