About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced professional to join our team as an Injury Management Specialist. As a key member of our Department for Education, Children and Young People team, you will play a critical role in providing high-level support and advice to managers, principals, and other clients in relation to workers compensation claims, injury management, rehabilitation, return to work, and other related processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake complex case management of workers compensation claims
  • Provide high-level support and advice to managers, principals, and other clients
  • Develop and implement effective injury management and rehabilitation strategies
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of services
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, and provide regular updates to stakeholders
Requirements
  • High-level experience in undertaking complex case management of workers compensation claims
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988, and other relevant legislation
  • Ability to interpret and apply industrial and legislative provisions
  • Well-developed organisation and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status - Employment) is required
Desirable Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management or other relevant field
  • Significant background in Human Resources Management
  • Statement of Attainment as an Injury Management Coordinator, or Certificate IV in Personal Injury Management
