About the Role

  • We are seeking a skilled Clinician (Psychologist/OT/Social Worker) to join our CAMHS Eating Disorders Service team in North Adelaide.
  • You will be responsible for delivering specialist child and adolescent mental health care to consumers with diagnosed eating disorders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering specialist child and adolescent mental health care to consumers with diagnosed eating disorders.
  • Providing assessment, education, counselling and group work.
  • Undertaking discipline specific assessments when required to ensure optimal understanding of the presenting mental health/eating disorder issue.
  • Acting as a consultant and resource person to CAMHS, other agencies and the community by providing information and education regarding child, adolescent and family mental health eating disorders.
  • Promoting access and equity of services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people and their families.
  • Providing outreach at CAMHS community team sites such as Elizabeth, Port Adelaide and Enfield.

About You

  • You will possess an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification.
  • You must be able to communicate and work with other professionals, facilitate group functions and work as a team member.
  • You should have clinical experience in the treatment and management of complex child and adolescent mental health issues, including eating disorders.
  • You should demonstrate knowledge of the theory and practice of clinical work within your discipline, including group work.
  • You should have knowledge of developmental theory and the mental and physical impact of eating disorders on the individual and the family unit.
