Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Emergency department team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and clinical operational skills, with the ability to provide guidance and support to their team.

This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and managing human, financial, and material resources.

  • Leadership and Direction: Provide strategic leadership to the Emergency department team and ensure effective management of human resources.
  • Clinical Operational Direction: Ensure efficient and effective management of the unit, including coordination of nursing care and resource allocation.
  • Patient Care: Deliver evidence-based nursing care and promote a culture of quality and safety.
  • Team Management: Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to team members, promoting a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The following qualifications and skills are required for this role:

  • Current Registration: Current registration with AHPRA is mandatory for this position.
  • Working with Children Check: A current Working with Children check is also required.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience at NUM level or equivalent is essential.
  • Post Graduate Qualification: A post graduate qualification in critical care is desirable, as is experience in a critical care setting.
