About Our Program Host Role

We are looking for enthusiastic and fun-loving individuals who share a commitment to delivering exceptional children's programming in aquatic and leisure centres. As a casual Program Host, you will be responsible for leading activities, programs, parties, and competitions in a safe and enjoyable manner.


This role is ideal for those who are passionate about working with children and have excellent communication skills. You will be part of a dynamic team that promotes the safety, well-being, and empowerment of children.


Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver activities, programs, parties, and competitions in a safe and enjoyable manner.
  • Lead and manage groups of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, parents, and other staff members.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Certified CPR certificate.
  • Current First Aid certification.
  • Excellent customer service and oral communication skills.
  • Current Working with Children Check.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Water Safety Awareness Module e.g. Perform Basic Water Rescues (PBWR) or equivalent.
  • Current class C driver's licence.
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Availability to work flexible hours.

Benefits

The hourly rate for this position starts at $ per hour, plus 25% casual loading. Penalty rates apply for weekend shifts, and trainee rates apply for applicants under 19 years of age. Casual working hours are available, along with employee benefits such as leave entitlements, 12% employer contribution to your superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
