About the Role

We are seeking a Reliable Mechanical Supervisor to take on a leadership role in our organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced fixed plant Mechanical Supervisor to contribute to the success of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all activities are carried out to the highest standard of safety in accordance with Company policies and workplace safety regulations.
  • Maintain plant and equipment to a high level of availability, minimising downtime and maximising productivity.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules to achieve maximum plant reliability, aligning with business objectives.
  • Oversee the maintenance schedule and record of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with supply personnel on purchasing and inventory matters, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Liaise with the processing team to ensure optimum equipment performance and availability, contributing to overall operational efficiency.
  • Set clear goals and expectations, provide feedback, and address employee performance issues in a timely manner, fostering a positive work environment.
About You

To be considered for this role, you will have the following qualifications, skills, and experience:

  • Mechanical Trade qualified.
  • A proven history in supervising / performing high standards of maintenance, demonstrating expertise in mechanical plant and equipment.
  • Experience in the supervision of mechanical plant and equipment for a gold processing plant, with a strong understanding of operational processes.
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Good computer literacy skills, with proficiency in software applications relevant to the role.
  • Working knowledge of obligations under the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.
  • Industry certificates, including; High Risk Work License, Elevated Work Platform, Forklift (LF), WAH, and Confined Spaces.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or Reliability Engineering desirable.
  • Certificate IV in Leadership and Management (Frontline Management) desirable.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment desirable.
  • Experience or qualifications in vibration monitoring desirable.
