Are you eager to launch your career in ground engineering? You have the chance to join a leading infrastructure company working on large-scale projects across Australia. As a final-year civil engineering or geotechnical engineering student or recent graduate, you will be stationed in the field for surveying tasks. In addition, you will participate in foundation piling, slope stabilisation, and ground improvement.

As a Geotechnical Engineering Intern, you will gain proficiency in a range of software including Total Station for construction measurement, engineering, and monitoring. If you are passionate about fieldwork and surveying for infrastructure projects, this internship will equip you with valuable industry experience to start your career in Australia.

Geotechnical Engineer Internship roles and responsibilities:
  • Provide technical advice to operations during greenfield analysis on reserve quality, drilling programs, and geotechnical parameters
  • Conduct soil investigations and surveying work in the field
  • Support the senior geotechnical engineering team with surveying and footings
  • Offer geotechnical reviews and advice to stakeholders, and track and manage areas of risk
  • Compile PERC/JORC reports for reserves and resources
  • Identify and support operations with shortages of reserves, and assess appropriate replacement reserves
What you will learn from your Geotechnical Engineer Internship:
  • Geotechnical software such as deswik CAD, LeapFrog, and MINEX.
  • Fieldwork, surveying, footings, and testing required for geotechnical engineering projects
  • Experience in a high-performance workplace, with mentoring by senior professionals and geotechnical engineers
