Job Title: Interventional Radiology Specialist
The role of an Interventional Radiology Fellow involves assisting in the provision and management of interventional radiology and vascular services at a tertiary hospital under the guidance of Consultant Interventional Radiologists.
This fellowship position entails specific experience and training in interventional radiology, including endovascular procedures, computed tomography (CT) and fluoroscopic guided non-vascular intervention, percutaneous liver procedures, nephrostomy insertion, and abscess drainage.
As an Interventional Radiology Fellow, you will have a minimum of three days gaining specific experience and training in interventional radiology in the angiography suite or performing interventional CT/ultrasound procedures.
You will also be encouraged to participate in the teaching of registrars and join the tutorial roster in the department. Additionally, you may be required to participate in non-interventional radiology clinical duties.
Furthermore, you will undertake research projects/audits in relation to interventional radiology and present at national and international meetings.
Requirements:
- Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
- Working With Children Check (DHS)
- Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description
Education:
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
- Obtained a Specialist Qualification and is registrable as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration
