The Mater Mothers Social Work team offers specialist services to both inpatients and outpatients, focusing on mother-baby and women's healthcare.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake routine clinical practice within established protocols to achieve patient-centered outcomes
  • Apply increasing clinical judgment to more complex cases under supervision
  • Provide support, training, and guidance to less experienced practitioners, students, and volunteers in delivering clinical services
  • Contribute to the development of clinical practices, procedures, and protocols within professional and multidisciplinary teams
  • Actively participate in teams and collaborate with patients, their families/carers, and external agencies to facilitate patient-centered care
  • Identify, develop, and participate in quality and service improvement activities to continually enhance clinical services and patient outcomes
