Job Description

The Cultural Facilitator plays a pivotal role in promoting cultural understanding and supporting the growth of staff and sector capability.

  • Facilitate and co-facilitate cultural training packages externally to foster meaningful relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Work closely with colleagues to design and deliver culturally sensitive training programs that meet the needs of various audiences.

This is an ongoing, full-time role requiring strong organizational skills and the ability to work autonomously.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A deep understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal societies and cultures.
  • Knowledge of key issues impacting upon Aboriginal communities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, culturally appropriately, and respectfully with a range of stakeholders.
  • Cultural competence and the capacity to engage and work with diverse individuals along a continuum of cultural awareness.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in your work.
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently.
Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Tertiary qualification in adult learning or a related field.
  • Valid police check, working with children's check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain), and Victorian driver licence.
  • Current COVID-19 vaccination (strongly recommended).
